Bago

Bago

Bago it is from 2 hours from Yangon (80 km), one of the ancient cities Myanmar.
On the west side of the city is one of the largest lying Buddha figures of the world, the Shwethalyaung Buddha. It is 55 m long and 16 m high, one ear measures 4.50 m, the small finger 3 m and the large toe still 1.8 m. At the soles 108 luck symbols are shown. It is a really very much impressing statue.

Paya Kyaik Pun is at 1.5 km from Bago. Built in 1476 by the king Dhammazedi, four sitting buddhas of 30 m high are turning their back each other.
